FAQ's

IS IT MESSY?
There will be on-site work including drilling, pipe work and cables laid.  Our team of experienced and highly qualified engineers work efficiently and tidily. We guarantee that there will be no mess at the end of the job and we have a wide range of attractive water pump features to cover your borehole.

WHAT IS THE WATER LIKE COMPARED TO THE MAINS SUPPLY?
1) The pressure is the same as that of most main supply, pumped at 2-4 bars pressure.

2) Water for indoor use must be ‘potable’ or safe to drink. Water from our first drills is sent for laboratory analysis a public water analyst. Some water will not require any treatment but if there is evidence of contamination then we can provide an ultraviolet sterilisation unit and filter. Unlike chemical methods this does not pollute the water.

And we would recommend UV sterilisation where the general public may drink the water from your supply.

CAN I GET FINANCE FOR MY BOREHOLE?
We work with a number of finance organisations and can provide their contact details.

WHAT PERMISSIONS ARE NEEDED?
For domestic use no registrations are needed unless you plan to exceed 4,400 gallons a day.  For commercial use, planning permission may be required which can take months and licensing agreements from the Environment Agency. We will, of course manage the application process for you as part of our service.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET A WATER SUPPLY?
From initial phone call to connected water supply takes about 4 weeks on average for domestic use.  There may be longer planning times required for commercial holes where planning permissions are required
